- Inspect the magnet, hook, and metal housing before each use.
- Do not use the holder if the magnet, hook, housing, or attachment point is damaged, cracked, bent, or excessively worn.
- Install the magnetic base only on a suitable clean, flat steel surface.
- Remove dirt, debris, rust, ice, and other material from the mounting surface before installation.
- Make sure the magnetic base is fully seated against the steel surface before attaching a flag.
- Verify that the flag is properly attached to the holder before placing the vehicle or equipment into service.
- Do not use the holder as a cargo tie-down, lifting point, towing attachment, or load-securement device.
- Do not attach the holder to aluminum, plastic, fiberglass, or other non-ferrous surfaces unless a suitable steel mounting surface is provided.

- Check the holder and flag periodically during use to ensure they remain properly positioned and attached.
