Protect the front end of your commercial truck with the INA Equipment Ex-Guard XG-150-FCAG5 Deer Guard. Manufactured by Ex-Guard Industries, this XG Series Extreme Duty Plus guard is designed specifically for 2026 and newer Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 trucks with compatible steel bumper configurations.
The XG-150G3-FCAG5 features an additional crossbar and a 3-inch taller package to provide expanded front-end coverage. It is designed to help protect the bumper, fog lights, radiator, collision mitigation system (CMS), headlights, hood, and grille from front-end hazards.
Constructed from 8-gauge high-tensile steel tubing, the XG-150G3-FCAG5 combines high strength with durable two-piece construction. The guard is finished with Ex-Guard's proprietary EVRCoat™ corrosion-resistant PVC coating, designed to resist UV exposure, rust, and road salt.
Generation 3 features include LEVRLock™ dual-cam latches with ergonomic, rattle-resistant handles and Xero-G™ Lift Assist. Xero-G™ reduces the effort required to raise and lower the guard by more than 95%, making routine inspections and under-hood service easier.
Important: A vehicle-specific mounting bracket kit is required for installation and sold separately. For the 2026 and newer Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 with a compatible steel bumper, the applicable Ex-Guard bracket kit is XG-27FCAG5.

This guard is specifically designed for the Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 platform. Ex-Guard identifies the current steel-bumper application as 2026 and newer. Verify the truck model year, bumper configuration, and required mounting bracket kit before ordering.
Required Mounting Bracket: The vehicle-specific XG-27FCAG5 mounting bracket kit is required for the compatible Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 steel-bumper application and is sold separately.
CMS Compatibility: Ex-Guard XG Generation 3 guards are ClearZone® CMS compatible. Ex-Guard states that its Generation 3 guards have been tested and verified by the collision mitigation system radar manufacturer to fall within the established verification zone while avoiding the radar keep-out zones. Proper vehicle-specific fitment and installation are required.

- For the 2026 and newer Freightliner Cascadia Gen 5 steel-bumper application, verify that the XG-27FCAG5 mounting bracket kit is correct for the vehicle before ordering.
- Due to the approximately 275 lb. guard weight, use appropriate lifting equipment and safe handling procedures during installation.
- Follow all manufacturer installation instructions and applicable torque specifications.
- After installation, verify that the guard does not interfere with headlights, sensors, cameras, radar, steering, or other vehicle systems.
- CMS functionality depends on proper vehicle-specific fitment and installation. Do not modify the guard or mounting system in a way that could affect CMS operation.
- Do not modify, cut, drill, weld, or otherwise alter the guard or mounting brackets unless specifically authorized by the manufacturer.
- Inspect the guard, mounting hardware, latches, and brackets regularly for damage, looseness, cracks, corrosion, or excessive wear.
- Make sure both LEVRLock™ latches are fully engaged and secured before operating the vehicle.
