Compact yet powerful, the Kidde FC10 Fire Control is a UL‑listed dry chemical extinguisher rated 10‑B:C, ideal for use on flammable liquids and energized electrical (Class B & C) fires. With a lightweight aluminum shell, built-in pressure gauge, and supplied steel strap bracket, it meets U.S.C.G. & DOT standards.
This unit delivers approximately 2.9 lb of sodium bicarbonate extinguishing agent, discharges in 8–12 seconds to a range of 6–8 ft, and carries a 6‑year limited warranty for dependable, long-term protection. -
Warning:
- Do not use on Class A fires (ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, cloth) unless rated for that class.
- Do not puncture, incinerate, or tamper with the extinguisher — pressure vessel hazard.
- Avoid spraying on people — the discharged chemical may cause irritation or injury to eyes, skin, or respiratory tract.
- Do not expose to temperatures above the recommended range — extreme heat or cold can damage the cylinder or impair function.
- Always mount with supplied bracket — unsecured units may fall, be damaged, or fail in an emergency.
- Check pressure gauge regularly — do not use if gauge indicates not charged or in low condition.
- Keep away from ignition sources and sparks until ready to discharge.
- Use only on liquid & energized electrical fires — this extinguisher is rated 10‑B:C, not suitable for solid burning (e.g. wood or paper) fire types.
- Inspect periodically and replace or service if any part is corroded, damaged, or out of the 6‑year warranty period.
